FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | Kansas City, Missouri, August 17, 2020

As Bambou Salons & Spas celebrates its fourth year with a soon to be announced expansion into Lenexa, KS, and a possible additional location yet-to-be-finalized, Sean Barnard, Owner and Creator of the locally owned beauty services brand, has announced the company’s newly defined leadership team relying on internal promotions. Bambou Salons & Spas already operates three locations, one in Blue Springs and two in Overland Park. To support this growth,

Barnard explains, “With the continued growth of Bambou to four and five locations in 2020, there is a clear need to formalize our leadership team with expanded roles and responsibilities.” He continues, “we are first and foremost a services company and I believe these changes will ensure that our new and existing customers will continue to receive the high standard services and experiences they have come to expect from Bambou Salons & Spas.”

Barnard, who also owns Fifty Eight, LCC, a human resources and business administration consulting business, will continue to lead Bambou Salons & Spas but says the new leadership team will allow him to give more of the daily responsibilities to his team. “This creates an opportunity for us to recognize the people on our team that have been committed to our vision and our brand and promote them into roles where they are more responsible for our success,” Barnard explains.

As a part of the new leadership team, Debbie Linder, formerly Salon Manager for the Antioch & College location, will be promoted to Regional Manager for all locations. “With many years of leadership and hands-on experience in the beauty industry, Debbie has a proven track record and I’m very excited to be see her take the next step in her career.” said Barnard, adding “In her new role, Debbie will oversee each of our locations and be responsible for maintaining our high standards, guest satisfaction and our Team Members are appreciated for what they do to make us successful.”

Manager of Bambou Salon & Spa in Downtown Overland Park, Burgandy Thomas will be promoted to Brand Manager. Barnard says, “I am really proud of Burgandy and how quickly she has grown into a critically important and new leadership role. Her responsibilities will involve overseeing our marketing promotions and providing analysis that ensures that we remain focused on the many metrics that affect our guests and Team Members.”

Brand Educator and Master Stylist, Andrea Bengimina will expand her role as the Bambou brand adds locations. “Andrea is a former renowned Platform Artist with many years of education and training in her resume,” says Barnard, “she has already established an Associates Program that develops the talents of new stylists and oversees training in new techniques, new products and the ever-changing trends our guests request.”

These changes in leadership are effective September 1, 2020 and will apply to all future locations and expansions. This announcement comes amidst other successes for the company, including the renewal of its agreement as Official Hair Salon for KCTV5 and being recognized by KC Magazine as Best Hair Salon in KC 2020.
